He was a retired Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Casselberry. He was also a member of the Retired Officers Association, American Association of Retired Persons, Civil Service Revision Committee for the city of Casselberry, former director of finance for the city of Winter Park."
